New Year: Gov Ododo’s parents offer prayers for Yahaya Bello

The parents of Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo, Alhaji Ahmed Sani and Hajia Habibat Ahmed Sani, have prayed for the protection and guidance of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello in his political and personal pursuits.

The prayers were offered during a visit to Yahaya Bello, a gesture that underscored the enduring bond between the two families and their shared commitment to the progress of Kogi State.

During the visit, Bello expressed gratitude for their unwavering support and steadfast prayers. He praised the couple for the moral upbringing and values instilled in their children, which he said had shaped Governor Ododo into a disciplined and compassionate leader.

Bello emphasised that his decision to support Ododo as his successor was deliberate, based on his recognition of Ododo’s dedication to the well-being of the people.

“Your son is a worthy successor. His compassion for the plight of our people and his commitment to the state’s development have stood out. I have no doubt that his tenure will strengthen the foundation we’ve built and propel Kogi State to greater heights,” Bello said.

In response, Alhaji Ahmed Sani thanked the former governor for placing trust and confidence in Governor Ododo, describing it as a rare and commendable gesture. He also acknowledged the legal and political challenges Yahaya Bello has faced, describing them as divine tests that all great leaders endure.

“These challenges are stepping stones to greater opportunities and elevation in your political career,” Sani said, expressing confidence in Bello’s continued success.

Governor Ododo’s parents concluded the visit with prayers for Yahaya Bello, asking for divine protection, guidance, and blessings in his future endeavours. They affirmed their belief that Bello is yet to fulfil the full extent of his God-ordained destiny.
