Nigerian soldiers attached to Operation Hadin Kai, the joint task force operating in the Northeast, have successfully rescued another Chibok girl from the Sambisa Forest in Borno State.
The announcement was made by the Theatre Commander, Major General Waheed Shuaibu, during a handover ceremony at Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri on Monday.
The rescued individual, Ehi Abdul, aged 27, was handed over to the Borno State Government along with her two children.
Major General Shuaibu revealed that she had been married to a notorious terrorist, Abu Dada, who abandoned her in Gwoza in 2014 before fleeing to Senegal.
“Ehi Abdul and her two children were rescued by sector one of Operation Hadin Kai during an operation in the Sambisa forest,” Major General Shuaibu stated.
Responding, the Borno State Government expressed gratitude for the continuous efforts of Operation Hadin Kai in rescuing abducted individuals and restoring hope to affected families.
