Nigerians remain idle, always blame, wait for govt to feed them – Cleric

Pastor Olanrewaju David of Christ for All Church, Ilorin in Kwara, has advised Nigerians to shun all idleness and use their productive hours efficiently.

Mr David gave the advice in an interview with journalists in Ilorin on Friday, saying many wait for the government to feed them rather than using their time wisely.

“Most people wait for the government to feed them and fail to use their productive hours efficiently,” the cleric said.

“Use your productive hours for productive things. Don’t just stay idle and start blaming the government or analysing Nigeria’s problem,” he added.

Mr David said idleness would breed poverty and lack, urging Nigerians to engage in something profitable to survive the hard times because they only know how to lament without committing to any profitable business or job.

“Be ready to start small and stop rejecting opportunities that come your way. The more you wait, the more you can be easily lured to the wrong practices.

“Use your time wisely in order not to regret wasted years in the future. Always take steps and strive to be better than yesterday.

“Nigerians should also be ready to accept responsibility rather than playing the blame game every time,” he said.
