Nigerians will vote Tinubu in 2027 despite economic hardship — APC chieftain

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje, has said that the current economic hardship will not stop President Bola Tinubu’s victory in 2027.

In a statement on Monday, he appealed to Nigerians to be patient with President Tinubu over the current socio-economic hardship in the country, adding that the situation will soon improve.

“Nigeria’s current pains are temporary, and with collective support and patience, the nation is on the path to a brighter future under President Tinubu’s leadership,” he said.

“I can boldly predict that Nigerians would eventually ask Tinubu to continue as President beyond 2027 because this hardship is temporary. Some of us who are not happy with his leadership style as President will definitely join us to voluntarily campaign for his re-election in 2027.

“However, I want to plead with Nigerians to exercise patience for a short period of time as the hardship will soon become a thing of the past. As the Disciples of Jagaban we are committed to advocating for good governance. So we are calling on youths not to allow themselves to be misguided and misinformed by selfish politicians.

“The masses should see Tinubu as a friend of the nation and not allow themselves to be swayed by the nation’s adversaries, who fear that a successful Tinubu presidency would render them irrelevant in future elections.

“In a recent meeting held in Kaduna State, attended by leaders from all six geopolitical zones and various state coordinators, we urged Nigerians to rally behind the Tinubu administration, not through the lenses of regional, religious, or ethnic identities, but as a unified nation.

“The challenges Nigeria faces today are national issues, not confined to religious, ethnic, or political lines. We must stop politicizing the current situation. This is a matter that concerns all Nigerians, regardless of where we come from or what we believe in.

“President Tinubu is well aware of the difficulties the country is enduring and the hardships the masses are experiencing.

“However, Nigerians should trust in Tinubu’s vision and patience, believing that the President’s policies, once fully implemented, will yield positive results for the nation.

“I want to praise Tinubu’s efforts for dismantling outdated and ineffective structures across the country, paving the way for new and more fitting ones. Today’s pains are going to be tomorrow’s joy, and therefore citizens should remain optimistic. The results of Mr. President’s new structures will soon be visible to all of us.

“There is no doubting the fact that Tinubu is determined to make every Nigerian productive, responsible, and useful to their families, communities, and the nation as a whole. The journey may not be easy, but we should have confidence in Tinubu’s focus and resolve to achieve his goals for the benefit of both current and future generations.

“Despite the formidable challenges, Tinubu started his tenure on a strong note. So Nigerians should set aside any sentiments and support the President’s efforts to rid the country of political exploitation,” he added.
