NIS gets new Assistant Comptroller Jummai Minimah
The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammad Babandede, has promoted Jummai Minimah to Assistant Comptroller General of the service.
She was decorated with her new rank on Tuesday. Until her recent elevation, Minimah was a Chief Superintendent in the service.
The new Assistant Comptroller General has worked in various departments and units in the NIS before rising to her present position.
She was an officer at the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Alien Card (CERPAC) unit.
The promotion is coming on the heels of 100 officers who were similarly promoted by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Correctional Service, Fire Service, and Immigration Board (CDCFIB), vide a letter referenced CDCFIB/NIS/DTS/CORR/503/138.
According to a statement by NIS Public Relations Officer Sunday James, the number of senior officers promoted includes 29 Comptrollers of Immigration Service (CIS), promoted to Assistant Comptroller Generals (ACGs), and 71 Deputy Comptrollers of Immigration (DCI) promoted to Comptrollers of Immigration Service (CIS).
