The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has said no one can dethrone him.

In a statement on Monday, the monarch dismissed reports that he lost out in the contest to become the secretary of SouthWest Traditional Rulers Council.

According to him, such a body does not exist, adding that the ancient crown of Oluwo will never stoop so low to contest for such.

The monarch said the story was fabricated to blackmail him “and deviate from the truth His Imperial Majesty spewed out recently.”

He said, “Sometimes last year, I learnt the Southern Council of Traditional Rulers was to be formed. I was invited but declined. I’m so occupied to work with a council dominated by people with different mindsets. In addition to that, I rarely attend the Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers. I’ve chosen a path trust and will never derail the honourable route of God. Our modulus operandi is parallel. That is why he is hated and talked about. Guess what, he didn’t care.

“For the umpteenth time, we will reiterate that no one can dethrone Oluwo. They have tried it severally and failed. Those actors playing the script are perpetual failure and they will continue to fail.”

He stated that he’s not interested in mingling with those whose interest is to bring others down, adding that the backbiting and blackmailing will not deter him from the path of honour.

“Rather, those stones and tantrums are strengths for him. Anyone who takes the warning may be lucky to escape perdition,” he said.
