Major stakeholders and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State have reaffirmed their confidence in the leadership of former Governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, in his efforts towards uniting all members in order to present a formidable force as the party prepares for 2019 general elections.
Rising from a political meeting in Sagamu on Friday, the PDP leaders collectively agreed that Daniel’s intuition and foresight cannot be discountenanced and so should be given all necessary support to steer the party to victory.
Congratulating the presidential candidate of the PDP, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, on his election as the flag bearer of the party, they pledged their total commitment in support of his presidential victory in the 2019 election.
Daniel assured the state PDP leaders of his desire to forge the much needed unity in the party within the state, while admonishing them to stay focused and be united as one indivisible political family.
Adebutu further assured that PDP members in the State are prepared to vote for Abubakar and work tirelessly to see to his victory.
Present at the meeting were former Deputy Governor, Alhaja Salmat Badru; Hon. Sikirulahi Ogundele; Chief Duro Otesanya; Chief Kola Ogunjobi; Chief Iyabode Apampa; Chief Ibukun Ojosipe; Alhaja Mujidat Ogunnaike; and Hon. Bola Kalejaye.
Others were Kayode Adebayo, Chief Gbolade Osunkoya, Otunba Tola Odulaja, Chief Z. Oyekunle, Bashorun Bisiriyu Popoola, Chief Fatai Olayode, Hon. Dapo Adeyemi and Prince Lekan Tejuosho among many other distinguished stakeholders.
