The Olubadan of Ibadan land Oba Saliu Adetunji at the weekend elevated former Oyo Head of Service, Alhaja Kudirat Adeleke and wife of former Governor, Alhaja Mutiat Ladoja to Abese Iyalode of Ibadanland and Agbaakin Iyalode of Ibadanland respectively.

Other chiefs promoted by Olubadan are: Chief Taye Soyege as the Balogun Iyalode of Ibadanland; Chief Yewande Durosaro as Osi Iyalode of Ibadanland; Chief Onikepo Akande as Iyalaje Iyalode of Ibadanland; Chief Nimota Agbaje as Ashipa Iyalode of Ibadan land; Chief Ayo Adegbite as Ekerin Iyalode of Ibadanland; Chief Kuye as Ekarun Iyalode of Ibadan land; Chief Wosilat Ekeolu as Maye Iyalode of Ibadanlan and Chief Mojisola Oyebola as Ekefa Iyalode of Ibadanland.

The monarch said Ibadanland has reserved its customs and traditions, which according to him include chieftaincy titles.

He said women folks were playing very crucial roles in development of Ibadan land.

Speaking after her elevation at the Popoyemoja palace of Olubadan, Adeleke said her new position is well deserved having served Ibadanland meritoriously for its progress and development. (NAN)
