Operatives Arrest Wife, Mother Of Nigerian Bandits Leader, Ado Aliero In Saudi Arabia
The wife and mother of Nigeria’s most wanted bandits leader, Ado Aliero, have reportedly been arrested by the Saudi Arabian authorities.
It was gathered that the two women were apprehended in an intelligence-driven operation believed to be linked to a network of fugitives associated with the deadly insurgency in Nigeria’s Northwest.
The arrest reportedly occurred in Medina, a holy city where the women had been residing under false identities.
Ado Aliero, infamous for masterminding mass kidnappings and brutal attacks in Zamfara and nearby states, remains one of Nigeria’s most wanted criminals.
His rise in the underworld is said to be supported by both local and international networks, raising fresh concerns about the extent and funding of armed bandit groups.
Nigerian security agencies are reportedly working closely with their Saudi counterparts as the investigation continues.
Although the identities and specific roles of the women have not been officially confirmed, sources indicate they may possess critical information about Aliero’s whereabouts and financial operations.
This development could represent a significant step forward in efforts to dismantle the leadership structure of terror groups destabilising northern Nigeria. (SaharaReporters)
