Bolaji Alonge, a photographer/actor, recently married his Antwerp-born partner, Sandra Vermuyten, in a simple yet colourful, Afro-bohemian yet elaborate ceremony.

The Nigerian-Belgian wedding ceremony, featuring a convoy of over 20 tricycles (Keke Marwa), was held at the iconic Bogobiri House, Ikoyi.

Bogobiri, known for being a culture and art hub, was transformed into a romantic village with flowers, lanterns and music as the artist and human rights advocate tied the knot.

Yeni Anikupalo-Kuti and David Vermuyten, brother of the bride, served as the MCs as the couple grooved to the original ‘Joromi’ by Sir Victor Uwaifor, and ‘Simply the Best’ by Tina Turner.
