Policeman Accepts Islam 2yrs After Rejecting $200,000 Bribe
A celebrated police officer Assistant commissioner of police ACP Daniel Amah who converted to Islam has received royal blessings from Emir Muhammad Sanusi.
The police officer who adopted the name Muhammad paid homage to the emir with his friends and well-wishers.
The celebrated police officer was widely acknowledged as incorruptible when he rejected a $200,000 bribe some years ago from an armed robbery suspect involved in theft of over N300,000,000 from a Bureau De change operator.
Receiving the police officer in his palace, a visibly elated Emir asked him to seek Islamic knowledge and adhere to the core tenets of Islam which include the five daily prayers, fast in the month of Ramadan, pilgrimage to Makkah once in life time and Zakkat payment.
The emir also admonished him to maintain his integrity and exemplary character and respect his parents and close relations.
Amah was popular when he was divisional police officer at Bompai police station where he built mosque though he has not converted at the time.
He was known an uncompromising police officer who never takes bribe from criminals.
In recognition of his integrity, Amah was promoted to assistant commissioner of police by the Police Service Commission (PSC) and was subsequently awarded the prestigious public service integrity award by then president Muhammadu Buhari in 2022.
