President Trump is ‘impeached forever…it can never be erased’ – Nancy Pelosi
Nancy Pelosi would like President Trump to know that he is “impeached forever,” as she explained on “Real Time with Bill Maher” on Friday night.
When asked by the talk show host what the house speaker would tell the president if he was “accidentally” watching the show that night (a reference to the Trump’s August tweet calling Maher a “wacko comedian” when he caught an episode of his show “by accident”), Pelosi didn’t hold back.
“If I knew that he —if the president was listening — I would want him to know that he is impeached forever. And he is impeached forever because he used the office of the president to try to influence a foreign country for his personal and political benefit,” she said. “In doing so, he undermined our national security, he was disloyal to his oath of office, to protect the Constitution and he placed in jeopardy the integrity of our election.”
“It wasn’t a question of his being worth it. The Constitution was worth it. He had to be impeached.”

Pelosi continued, “And that, really, he gave us no choice. Earlier on, with some of the charges that came forward, which were violations of the law, I said, ‘He’s not worth it.’ But once he crossed that bridge, it wasn’t a question of his being worth it. The Constitution was worth it. He had to be impeached.”
Donald Trump, the third president in U.S. history to be impeached, is accused of abuse of power and obstruction after a very controversial phone call with the Ukrainian president. Trump has said the impeachment is “invalid” and “unconstitutional abuse.” His impeachment trial is underway.
Earlier, Pelosi explained that charging the president was inevitable because he was “self-impeaching almost every single day.”
When Maher suggested that some people believed that the president actually wanted to be impeached and sarcastically asked if impeachment is a “bad thing,” Pelosi said with a smile, “And you’re impeached forever. No matter what the Senate does, it can never be erased.” (Yahoo News)
