RRS rescues girl from jumping into Lagos Lagoon, gives reason for action

 

 

 

 

Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command have stopped a girl from jumping into the lagoon in the state.

The operatives carried out the act on Thursday as they patrolled the 10km long Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.

The girl told the operatives when she was questioned: “I was beaten at home.

“That is why I ran away to commit suicide.”

According to available information, the girl has been moved to Iyana Oworo Police Division, with moves being made to to contact her family members.
