A Spanish court had declared the President of the Cameroon Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o, the biological father of 22-year-old, Erika Do Rosario Nieves.
According to The Sun UK, the former Barcelona player didn’t acknowledge the court case and never attended proceedings.
However, court No 83 in Madrid on Thursday ruled on the lawsuit that was started by the girl’s mother in 2018.
Erika’s mum, Adileusa, was said to have met Eto’o at a nightclub in Madrid in 1997.
That was when the ex-striker was playing for Leganes, a club based near the city.
The lawsuit according to the Spanish press agency EFE, revealed that she became pregnant in February 1998.
The lawsuit added that the footballer “told her that he would act responsibly with respect to the common child, although he preferred that she did not give birth to the child.”
