Supreme Court’s judgement exposes Atiku, Obi’s conspiracy – Onanuga
The Director of Media and Publicity of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC- PCC), Bayo Onanuga, has punched presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Dr Peter Obi, respectively over their support for the CBN’s short deadline for naira swap.
Onanuga criticized the two politicians and Arise TV for playing politics with hardships Nigerians are made to go through by the pain-inflicting policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The CBN had handed down Feb. 10 deadline after which the old N200, N500 and N1000 notes would cease to be legal tenders.
The policy had inflicted serious pains on ordinary Nigerians as a result of grossly insufficient supplies of the new notes by the apex bank.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday, in a suit instituted against the policy by the governors of Kaduna, Kogi and Zamfara States, ordered the CBN to suspend the policy.
“Now that the Supreme Court has given our people some reprieve over the CBN unreasonable deadline for Naira swap, I wonder what will be the face-saving moves of Atiku and Peter Obi and their Arise TV, who supported the sanctity of the deadline.
“Clearly, both of them are out of touch with the people they plan to lead. The conspiracy they hope to reap from has now exploded on their faces,” Onanuga wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday.
