There’s dignity in labour – Peter Obi replies Tinubu
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has reacted to the comment by his rival in the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that members of the former Anambra State Governor’s party will remain labourers.
Tinubu made the remark in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, at a rally of the APC ahead of the June 16 governorship poll.
He was in the statement to canvass for the reelection bid of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
Reacting to Tinubu’s comment, Obi also said in Osogbo at a mega rally to support the governorship candidate of the party, Lasun Yusuff: “I listened to our chairman when he said that somebody said ‘they can labour till death’
“When they show you hatred, Labour Party will show them love.
“There is dignity in labour.”
Similarly, the LP candidate lambasted Tinubu.
Yusuff said the comment about the Labour Party by the APC National Leader was inconsistent with the attributes of a virtuous Yoruba man.
