Tinubu appoints Ajimobi as SSA on Livestock Development
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Idris Ajimobi as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Livestock Development.
The appointment comes on the heels of the inauguration of the Presidential Committee on Implementation of Livestock Reforms and the establishment of a new Ministry of Livestock Development, demonstrating Tinubu’s commitment to harnessing Nigeria’s agricultural potential.
Ajimobi’s role will entail efficient coordination and liaison on matters relating to the animal husbandry ecosystem, driving sustainable economic growth, industry creation, job generation, and peaceful resolution of farmer-herder conflicts.
A statement on Saturday evening by Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, said the President expects the Senior Special Assistant to play a key role in unlocking the sector’s potential, fostering economic development, and promoting national food security.
“President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Idris Ajimobi as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Livestock Development (Office of the President).
