Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau has said that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, is the best man to lead Nigeria.

Mr Lalong said this on Friday in Jos during a reception of Dayo Israel, APC National Youth Leader, who was in the state to interact with APC supporters ahead of the 2023 polls.

The governor, who was represented by Dung Daylyop, Plateau Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, said that Mr Tinubu had proven himself beyond reasonable doubt.

Mr Tinubu’s wealth of experience, according to Mr Lalong, is what Nigeria needs at the moment.

“He has left footprints on the sands of time wherever he served. Tinubu is the only politician who left office in 2007 and remains relevant in every progressive discussion in the country.

“Tinubu is not  just the ‘Jagaban’ of the South West but the entire Nigeria,” he said.

Mr Israel, in his remarks, said that Mr Tinubu had lifted many people up, and that it was time for the people to lift him up to become president.

“That is why we must make it a duty to work and deliver our polling units, local government areas and state for Tinubu.

“If they tell you that he is not young, tell them he is a friend of the youths.

“If we vote for him, we will be better for it because he has assisted many to heights they never imagined.

“We are counting on you, we have a choice before us and that choice is Tinubu,” he said, adding that Mr Tinubu was the best candidate contesting to be president in 2023.

In his remarks, Rufus Bature, Plateau APC Chairman, urged the youths to embark on issue-based campaigns and be peaceful while canvassing votes for the APC.

While commending the Lalong-led government, the APC Plateau Youth Leader, Joseph Dashe, also lauded the youths for coming to welcome the national youth leader.

According to him, many youths have been appointed members of the state executive council and that others had been appointed into top government positions.
