Tosin Ashafa, entrepreneur and politician, has challenged President Bola Tinubu to lead a critical renewal of the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership by empowering younger voices within the party.
Ashafa, who has served in several campaign committees and has been involved in Lagos APC politics, said the party must dramatically shift its approach to youth leadership or risk political obsolescence.
“This is a momentous opportunity for President Bola Tinubu to pass the baton of leadership in Lagos and Nigeria to a younger, more competent and highly educated generation,” the politician wrote.
Ashafa stated that he is not necessarily advocating for a wholesale replacement of existing leadership but a nuanced approach of mentorship and gradual transition, ensuring the wisdom of experienced leaders is preserved while making room for fresh perspectives.
He added that this generational shift could be Tinubu’s most significant impact to reposition the APC as a forward-looking, youth-engaged political movement.(The Cable)
