Uba Sani reinstates Fifth Chukker’s land titles revoked by El-Rufai

Uba Sani, the governor of Kaduna, has reinstated the four land titles of Fifth Chukker Resort Limited, previously revoked by the administration of Nasir el-Rufai, the former governor of the state.

Bashir Garba, director-general of Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS), said in a statement issued on Tuesday, that the governor is committed to creating a conducive business environment.

According to Garba, the company owns the land after Maraban Jos in Igabi LGA, where the popular Fifth Chucker Polo and Country Club are located.

He said the Sani-led administration is determined to address the ongoing land and property disputes in the state.

He added that an efficient land administration system is being established to effectively serve the needs of the people.

The DG said the reinstatement of the land titles would facilitate the resolution of additional revocations that were executed without due process in the past.

He added that resolving the issues would significantly contribute to establishing a business-friendly atmosphere for investors and other stakeholders and promote rapid socio-economic development in Kaduna state.

He urged residents of Kaduna to remain law-abiding and exercise patience as the administration implements land reforms that are people-centred. (The Cable)
