The Unit2Unit Initiative, a pro-Atiku Abubakar campaign group, has resolved to mobilise voters for Jimi Agbaje, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos State.
Vincent Anyigor, the group’s National Coordinator, who addressed all the state, local government and ward leaders of the group in Lagos on Monday, maintained that they owed it as an obligation to ensure that Agbaje won the state’s governorship election in a landslide.
He maintained that while the members would be mobilizing voters for the Atiku/ Obi presidential ticket, they should endeavour to woo supporters for Agbaje’s victory.
He maintained that Unit2Unit had been recognised by the PDP leadership at both the national and state level, stressing that the party’s victory at both levels was of paramount importance to Nigerian.
Anyigor stressed that efforts were being made to ensure that the group reeived the necessary material for both the presidential and governorship elections, adding that Jimi Agbaje Campaign Committee was working out modalities for this.
He urged the members to redouble their efforts to ensure that the vision of Unit2Unit was realised during the elections for benefit of the present and future generations, as he maintained that a change in leadership would mean a better Nigeria for all. (Daily Independent)
