The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday said the report that it is planning to suspend former governor Akinwunmi Ambode from the party is untrue.
Unconfirmed reports that the party is considering wield the big stick on the former governor over his refusal to mend fences with leaders of the party since the fallout of the governorship primary which he lost to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the incumbent governor of Lagos state.
It was also reported that Ambode has refused to visit Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, his benefactor since he left the office and has not shown any commitment to the affairs of APC both at the ward, local and state levels.
However speaking with Daily Independent, Abiodun Salami, the Deputy Publicity Secretary of the party said the report is unfounded as the party has no issues with the former governor.
