We Can’t Verify Aircraft With Worn Out Tyre Yet – NCAA
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has disclosed that it is yet to establish the fact or otherwise of a picture trending in the social media of an aircraft operating with a wornout tyre.
The authority also insisted that no airline operator in the country could embark on commercial air transportation for hire and reward with the current inspection and oversight function is carried out on their operations.

Mr. Sam Adurogboye, the NCAA General Manager, Public Affairs in a statement on Tuesday said that in line with International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig. CARs) no operator could operate with such a worn-out tyre in the country.
Adurogboye noted that its Aviation Safety Inspectors (ASI) were well-trained and well-motivated to carry out routine ramp inspection on all airlines operating in Nigeria.
