A group under the aegis of 21st century youths of Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience (21st CYNDAC has vowed to resist any move to remove the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio from his present position.

According to 21st CYNDAC, the Niger Delta region and its people will never accept such evil agenda against the Niger Delta and its people anymore.

In a statement on Monday by its Coordinator, Izon Ebi, the group particularly said that it should be on record that never again will the Niger Delta people whose resources are used for the benefit of all will allow their leaders to be politically sidelined through what it described as the dictates of underhand political brinkmanship.

Ebi said that “Affliction cannot repeat itself and we will not sit down and fold our hands for the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan playbook to be reactivated.”

The statement read, “The 21st century youths of Niger Delta and Agitators with conscience ( 21st CYNDAC ) having watched the trending hashtag #AkpabiomustGo over the Senate President ‘s remark at the last Niger Delta youths and Stakeholders consultative parley organised by the  NDDC wishes to state clearly that the 21st century youths and affiliated groups have been consulted to trend the hashtag and push for the removal of the Senate President who represents the South South geo political zone as the Senate President.

“It should be on record that never again will the Niger Delta people whose resources are used for the benefit of all will allow our leaders to be politically sidelined through the dictates of underhand political brinkmanship. Affliction cannot repeat itself and we will not sit down and fold our hands for the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan playbook to be reactivated.

“The fact that people are contacting youth and geo political organizations to join the trend of the Akpabio must go campaign is enough reason to know that the charade is politically motivated. The Niger Delta region and its people will never accept such evil agenda against the Niger Delta and its people anymore.

“This is sounding a warning to those fifth columnists that the Niger Delta people will resist any plot to remove our representatives from office if our mortgaged oil resources is the foundation and even reason why we have a country called Nigeria. You mine your Gold and share it amongst yourself while killing and dislocating innocent villages and their communities thereby causing severe hunger in the land and share oil money from the Niger Delta region in the comfort of your States and local governments but still instigating crisis against our leaders from the southern zone.

“It should be on record that Senator Goodwill Obot Akpabio has facilitated every legislation brought to it by the executive to ameliorate the suffering in the land and as such preposterous for him to be singled out as the poster boy for the hardship and hunger that is prevalent in Nigeria.

“Why won’t there be hunger? when you deprive people from going to farm or harvesting food stuffs across the country? Why won’t there be hunger when people are celebrating killings and kidnapping of farmers across the country and once you talk they will say you’re depriving killer bandits and others from the right to stay anywhere in Nigeria?

“We use this medium to advice the fifth columnists to also hold the governors and representatives to account as we in the Niger Delta will also hold our representatives to account. If this trend continues we will activate operation eat your Gold and let’s eat our oil.”
