We’ll Use Every Lawful Means To Remove Tinubu – Obi

Presidential candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has said all lawful means will be deployed to stop President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Obi stated this during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, aired on Sunday.

“We’re going to ensure that we remove Tinubu’s government by all lawful means. I will govern within the law, I will bring civility to Nigeria, and I will appoint competent people into office. I will not be the Minister of Petroleum,” he said.

Obi also clarified that being with the coalition of opposition parties, which recently adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its platform ahead of 2027, was not a departure from the Labour Party, nor was it an act of disloyalty.

Responding to criticisms that members of the ADC coalition were expired politicians and those who worked for past administrations, he said, “In fact, even some who have been in that government, their experience is critical.

“I can tell you one of the major companies in the world hired two people who have worked in failed companies because they can tell you why they failed.

“You need the experience of those who have failed and those who have succeeded to move on, and I need everyone. It is a critical experience because they know what can fail a system and they know what was wrong with the system,” Obi stated.

On his association with some political figures, Obi argued that inclusive leadership was essential to national progress.

“The job of a leader is to change. You need everybody. If you want to serve, you must serve everybody,” he said.
