We’ve spent N150b on infrastructure, says Sanwo-Olu
Lagos State has spent over N150 billion on building infrastructure, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has said.
Sanwo-Olu spoke at the inauguration of two road rehabilitation projects in Sabo-Yaba, sponsored by Custodian Investment PLC.
He was represented by the Special Adviser, Works and Infrastructure, Mrs. Aramide Adeyoye.
The governor said his administration focused on infrastructure provision in the quest to achieve ‘Transportation and Traffic Management Pillar T in the T.H.E.M.E. Agenda” of the state.
He said: “In the last one and a half years, the Public Works Corporation, which is the maintenance arm of the government, has rehabilitated over 347 roads.
“It is not out of surprise that 1.161 per cent out of our budget size, a substantial portion of it totalling over N150 billion, is committed to infrastructure provision.”
