‘You’re a trooper’ – Former Minister writes open letter to Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan
A former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili has written an open letter to the Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District at Nigerian Senate, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
In the letter posted on her personal X account on Monday, April 14, Ezekwesili described Akpoti-Uduaghan as a trooper whose endurance and courage have helped deepen Nigeria’s democracy.
She said that aside from members of her constituency and Nigerians, millions of people across the globe are inspired by Akpoti-Uduaghan’s strength of conviction.
Also stating that the female lawmaker who was suspended by the Senate leadership has no reason to be outside her office, the former minister said Akpoti-Uduaghan has the right to a fair hearing within the Red Chambers.

We do!
There are millions of reasonable Nigerians and other people around the world who are inspired by your strength of conviction and are continuing to stand with you until Justice is served.
You have a right to @NGRSenate Fair Hearing through an Independent Panel on your allegation against @Senator_Akpabio.
You have no reason to be outside your office as a legitimately elected Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Your unjust suspension must be immediately terminated by the Nigerian Senate so you resume duties to your people and the nation.
Therefore always remember that:
You. Can. Never. Walk. Alone.
The injustice being done to you will surely not be sustained, Madam Senator.
