Haaland bags brace as City win Manchester derby, Liverpool beat Burnley
Erling Haaland scored twice to help Manchester City beat city rivals Manchester United in a Premier League encounter.
The Pep Guardiola side secured a 3-0 win over the Red Devils at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Phil Foden opened scoring with his seventh goal against Manchester United, as goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma kept a clean sheet on his debut.
City suffered back-to-back defeats before the international break, but returned with a superb performance against Amorim’s side.
Earlier in the day, Liverpool sealed a late 1-0 victory over Burnley in another Premier League clash.
It was Mohamed Salah who converted a stoppage-time penalty to maintain their flawless start to the league season.
Salah’s winner came just as Burnley were within touching distance of being the first team to take points off Liverpool this season.
Burnley were reduced to 10 men for the last six minutes when Lesley Ugochukwu received a second yellow card, before Salah’s winner broke their hearts.
