Snoop Dogg’s granddaughter dies at ten months
Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg is mourning his granddaughter, Codi, following a heartbreaking announcement by his daughter, Cori Broadus.
Cori confirmed the tragic news on Saturday in a social media post, sharing a black-and-white photo of herself smiling while holding her baby. In the emotional message, she described Codi as the “love of my life” and revealed that the child had passed away earlier in the week.
Codi, Snoop Dogg’s 10-month-old granddaughter, was born three months premature and spent much of her short life receiving medical care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Despite the medical challenges, Cori had recently shared hopeful updates with followers, posting photos and messages expressing gratitude and faith as Codi continued to fight.
Just weeks before her death, Cori shared a photo of herself resting alongside her daughter, saying that God had answered their prayers and that Codi was showing signs of improvement.
She wrote over the photo, “Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” along with an angel wing emoji.
Cori’s fiancé, Wayne Deuce, also shared a series of photos on his own Instagram Stories.
“I’ve been the saddest since u left me, Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you,” he wrote over an image of himself holding his daughter. “My baby,” he added.
News of Codi’s death has prompted an outpouring of sympathy from fans and well-wishers as the Broadus family grieves the loss of their youngest member.
