Pentagon Warns Trump of Heavy Casualties, Strategic Risks in Potential Iran Strike
Senior officials at the Pentagon have reportedly urged U.S. President to reconsider any plans for a direct military strike on , warning that such action could trigger significant U.S. and allied casualties and lead to a prolonged, costly conflict.
According to a report by , defense leaders have raised concerns that proposed war plans could overstretch American forces, deplete critical air defense systems, and escalate into an extended military campaign in the Middle East.
Much of the cautionary advice has reportedly come from , chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who has expressed reservations during internal Pentagon discussions and meetings of the National Security Council.
