Eid-el-Fitr: NUEE President Urges Prayers Amid Power Challenges, Celebrates Muslims
The National President of the National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE), Engr. Comr. Biyi Adeyeye, has extended his warm felicitations to Muslim faithfuls on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan.
In a press statement personally signed by him, the NUEE President urged adherents of the Islamic faith to sustain and reflect in their daily lives the virtues of discipline, sacrifice, patience, and devotion cultivated during the holy month. He emphasized that these values remain indispensable to fostering national cohesion, peaceful coexistence, and moral rectitude in society.
He further called on Nigerians to remain resolute in offering prayers for the nation’s leadership, particularly in view of the prevailing challenges confronting the electricity sector. He noted that the current state of power supply in the country calls for collective responsibility, sincere commitment, and divine guidance to achieve meaningful and lasting improvements.
Engr. Adeyeye also reaffirmed the union’s unwavering commitment to the protection of workers’ welfare and the pursuit of sustainable reforms within the power sector. He expressed optimism that, through purposeful leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and consistent policy implementation, Nigeria will attain a stable and efficient electricity supply system.
