I Have No Such Power To Impeach Governor Makinde — Olubadan Debunks Rumour
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has refuted claims that he is planning to unseat Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the monarch’s media aide, Mr. Adeola Oloko, described the claim as false and misleading.
You don’t have to be a former governor or a distinguished senator to know that a monarch has no power to impeach a local government chairman, not to talk of a state governor.
“This becomes intriguing, considering that less than 24 hours ago, the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, alleged a purported plot by the state governor to remove the Olubadan.
“Today, it is the Olubadan who is allegedly planning to impeach the governor. So, who is fooling who?” the statement queried.
