2027: “Stop Playing Gentleman Politics Or Lose” – Primate Ayodele Warns Atiku
With the 2027 general election drawing closer, political activities are gradually gathering momentum as opposition candidates position themselves to challenge President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office.
Amid the growing political calculations ahead of the election, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a warning to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking during a church service on Sunday, Primate Ayodele advised Atiku to be more strategic and aggressive in his political approach if he hopes to win the 2027 presidential election.
According to the cleric, Atiku has a strong chance of winning, but may lose out if he continues what he described as “gentleman politics,” especially against a determined political opponent like Tinubu.
Primate Ayodele said; “The Presidency is in Atiku’s hand but a lot of circumstances will stop him if he continues to play gentlemanly politics because Tinubu is very desperate. Desperate than Peter Obi, Nigerians and even the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
“So, if somebody is more desperate than the INEC, more desperate than Nigeria, I don’t know but let’s watch. But Tinubu must seriously work on his health for God to help him.
“Health-wise, Tinubu is not okay. The family needs to take care of him. Let’s leave it that way, but that’s just the fact.
“The Northerners are not ready to vote for Tinubu. APC will do a lot of reconciliation to persuade the northerners but the Northerners are coming together to vote for Atiku.”
