Chris Brown ex‑housekeeper wins share of Usher tour income

A Los Angeles judge has ruled that Maria Avila, the former housekeeper of singer Chris Brown, can collect her $13 million judgment from the royalties and income he is earning on his current nationwide tour with Usher.

Court documents, according to TMZ, show the judge granted Avila’s request to assign a portion of Brown’s tour and royalty earnings to her in order to satisfy the judgment. Brown had objected to the request, but the judge overruled the objection.

It remains unclear whether Brown will seek reconsideration of the decision or file an appeal.

The ruling follows a jury’s decision earlier this year that found Brown liable for a vicious dog attack that occurred at his Los Angeles home in 2020. Avila had sued the singer over the incident and was awarded the multi-million-dollar judgment.

Brown has denied any wrongdoing in the case.
