BREAKING: IGP Disu Redeploys Police Commissioners, Ezima Heads Cybercrime Centre, Ehindero To FCID Admin
The Nigeria Police Force has announced a sweeping redeployment of Commissioners of Police, following a directive from the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu.
In a wireless message marked “Most/Immediate” and dispatched from Abuja, the Force Secretary conveyed the postings, which take effect without delay.
According to the signal, Akan Ezima has been appointed Director of the Nigeria Police National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja, while Abbas Sule has been moved to head the Special Protection Unit at Force Headquarters.
Ajo Geofrey Ordue has been redeployed to Interpol at Force Headquarters, and Mnwadiogbu Cletus has been named Deputy Commandant of the Police Academy.
Danjuma I. Yahaya will now oversee General Investigation at the FCID Annex in Kaduna, while Sheik M. Danko has been posted to the Force Intelligence Department Annex in Lagos.
The reshuffle also places Moses Ashu Ottah at the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit in Abuja, and Abdulrahim A. Shuaibu at the Eastern Port Authority.
Sarah Ehindero has been assigned to Administration at the FCID Abuja, while Edwin Ogbeghagha becomes Provost at Force Headquarters. Preye R. Egbe has been posted to INEC Abuja, and Adebisi Bola Lateef to Master Printing in Lagos.
Bolou O. Etete has been redeployed to Community Policing at Research and Planning, Ojugbene E. Adebola to General Investigation at FCID Alagbon, and Fidelis N. Ogarabe to Interpol Annex Lagos.
Theodore C. Obasi has been appointed Deputy Commandant at the Police College, while Eloho E. Okroziakro takes charge of the Special Fraud Unit in Ikoyi.
Kayode Uthman Magaji has been posted to the K9 unit at Dei-Dei, and Markus Ishaku Basiran to Courses at the Police Academy.
Other postings include Mohammed Babakura to Administration at DOPS, Silas Bamidele Aremu to Safer Highway operations, and Magaji Ismaila to Community Safety and Crime Prevention.
Rebecca Uchenna Okereke has been appointed Director of Music at Force Headquarters.
The message instructed all formations to update their records accordingly, underscoring the urgency of the changes.
