‘I Won’t Disappoint You’ – Yusuf Buhari Steps Up Consultation
Yusuf Buhari, son of former President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday declared his intention to contest the Daura/Sandamu/Mai’adua Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Yusuf Buhari is aspiring for the position under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).
Yusuf made the declaration in Daura while addressing party stakeholders and supporters, after visiting Gov. Dikko Radda in Katsina to seek his support.
“I am here to seek your support, and I assure you that if elected, I will do my best and will never disappoint you, God willing.”
“I thank all of you for your time, dedication and support,” Yusuf said.
Speaking at the event, the Dan Madamin Daura and District Head of Dumurkol, Alhaji Musa Haro, solicited support for Yusuf.
“We are here to ask for your support for our brother. We will go to the people in every town and village to seek their support.
“We will also reach out to other aspirants contesting the same seat to collaborate with them and seek their support.
“Even the current member, Hon. Aminu Jamo, did his best. We know how politics is — nobody can do 100 per cent,” Haro said.
Yusuf was accompanied by a former member representing the constituency, Fatuhu Muhammad, and other family members.
NAN reports that the seat is currently occupied by Rep. Aminu Jamo.(NAN)
