FAAC Disburses N2.103trn to FG, States, LGs for September 2025
The Federal Government, states, and local government councils have shared a total of N2.103 trillion as federation account revenue for September 2025.
This was contained in a communiqué issued after the October 2025 Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting held in Abuja and signed by Bawa Mokwa, spokesperson of the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation.
The amount is lower than the N2.2 trillion shared in August 2025.
According to the communiqué, the N2.103 trillion distributed comprised N1.239 trillion from statutory revenue, N812.593 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), and N51.684 billion from Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).
Total gross revenue available for the month stood at N3.054 trillion, with N116.149 billion deducted for the cost of collection and N835.005 billion set aside for transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings.
The report showed that gross statutory revenue dropped from N2.838 trillion in August to N2.128 trillion in September, a decline of N710.134 billion. However, VAT revenue rose to N872.630 billion, compared to N722.619 billion recorded in August.
From the total distributable revenue of N2.103 trillion, the Federal Government received N711.314 billion, states got N727.170 billion, and local government councils received N529.954 billion. Benefiting oil-producing states received N134.956 billion as 13% derivation.
Breakdown by revenue source showed that from the N1.239 trillion statutory revenue, the Federal Government received N581.672 billion, states N295.032 billion, and LGAs N227.457 billion, while N134.956 billion went to derivation.
From the N812.593 billion VAT pool, the Federal Government got N121.889 billion, states N406.297 billion, and LGAs N284.408 billion.
In addition, from N51.684 billion EMTL, the Federal Government received N7.753 billion, states N25.842 billion, and LGAs N18.089 billion.
The communiqué noted significant increases in Import Duty, VAT, and EMTL, while Companies Income Tax (CIT)and CET Levies declined. Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT) rose slightly, while Oil and Gas Royalties and Excise Dutyrecorded marginal decreases.
