Skales cries out over rising begging culture
Nigerian singer Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, popularly known as Skales, has lamented over what he describes as the growing culture of begging in Lagos.
The artist, while speaking up via his X handle, urged the Lagos state government to take action to curb the widespread of beggars in the state.
Skales stated that he believes the situation could grow beyond control if not urgently looked into.
”Dear Lagos state, if you do not do something serious about this begging situation, it will escalate to something you cannot control soon,” he wrote.
This will not be the first complaint about street begging in Lagos state as so many other celebrities and Lagosians have highlighted and lamented over the spread of street begging and entitlement, leading to violent physical and verbal attacks.
