‘I Won’t Stop Criticising Tinubu’s Abomination Government’ – Mr Macaroni Declares
Popular Nigerian comedian and activist, Adebowale Adedayo, widely known as Mr Macaroni, has again taken a firm stand against President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
The entertainer said he would not soften his criticism of what he described as an “abomination government,” even as fresh allegations surfaced against him on social media.
The controversy began after an X user accused the entertainer of raping a 17-year-old girl and allegedly involving the police to intimidate the victim’s family.
The post, which quickly spread across the platform, questioned his moral authority to comment on national issues.
Mr Macaroni responded strongly.
He said the claim was not only false but dangerous.
According to him, he chose to address the issue because the allegation was too “horrendous and distasteful” to ignore.
He insisted that the individual behind the post was a supporter of President Tinubu and the ruling APC.
He described the allegation as a calculated attempt to smear his name because he consistently calls out the government on insecurity and governance failures.
The activist warned that he would pursue legal action against the account owner.
He appealed to Nigerians with credible information about the identity of the user to assist him so the case can be followed through.
In his words, the allegation was only one of many propaganda tactics being pushed by those uncomfortable with his advocacy.
He stated clearly that such attacks would not silence him.
Mr Macaroni added, “This tweet also serves as an opportunity to strongly refute this ridiculous accusation and any other kind from the infested supporters of the APC because I expect their disease to continue to spread as I won’t stop criticizing this abomination of a government!”
In a related development, POLITICS NIGERIA earlier reported increasing pressure from citizens and public figures urging President Tinubu to step down, as frustrations over insecurity and governance failures continue to rise — with Mr Macaroni among those openly voicing such concerns.
