La Liga champions, Barcelona reportedly offered Manchester United two players in exchange for midfielder, Paul Pogba this summer.
This claim was made by respected journalist, Duncan Castles.
Barcelona were said to have considered moving for Pogba in the summer and were prepared to meet his personal terms before shelving their interest.
According to Castles, the Camp Nou club offered midfielder, Andre Gomes and defender, Yerry Mina, to United.
However, Gomes and Mina ended up leaving Barcelona to join Premier League side, Everton.
“We’ve talked at length about the problems between Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho since last season, since things started to fall apart between them,” Castles told the Transfer Window podcast.
“We talked about how Mourinho basically couldn’t move him out in the summer because there wasn’t a viable taker for a player who is being offered to all the big clubs in Europe by his agent Mino Raiola.
“The best offer that was proposed was Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes in exchange for Paul Pogba by Barcelona, which Manchester United understandably laughed out of court.”
