L-R: Senator Ademola Adeleke, Davido and Bamidele Adeleke.

Singer, Davido has on Tuesday called out his cousin, Bamidele Adeleke for daring to contest against his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke in 2022 Osun State gubernatorial election.

Back in 2018, Senator Ademola also known as The Dancing Senator contested for the position as PDP candidate but lost to the current GovernorGboyega Oyetola.

Not relenting, Senator Ademolarecently submitted his gubernatorial nomination form at PDP office, announcing his interest for Osun gubernatorial election again.

However, another member of the Adeleke family who is a nephew to the Senator, Bamidele on December 11 also declared his interest to run for the same position under the same party, causing confusion.

Reacting to the drama,
Davido questioned his cousin’s “intellectual” competence in running for the elective office.

Posting a picture of his cousin posing with a provisional clearance certificate for Osun State gubernatorial election, the singer alleged Bamidele struggled to graduate with a Second Class (Lower Division) and has not succeeded in building “one single thing in his life on his own.”

Tweeting via his official handle, Davido said;

Wonderful! Me I finished uni with 2:1. But it’s cousin dele who struggled to even get 2:2 that is now forming “intellectual”

Intellectual that has not succeeded in building one single thing in his life on his own. This life ehn! Osun beware of FAKES! @deleadeleke001.

Speaking in Yoruba language, Davido said the world is full of hypocrites.

Reacting, Senator Ademola Adeleke via his Twitter page appealed to Davido, saying;

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Channels, Bamidele Adeleke explained that the family ties between him and his uncle, Senator Ademola, should not be a reason for his not aspiring to run for governor.

He also claimed to be more “competent” for the position.
