Lawmakers praise Meranda for competent leadership as Speaker

Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly took turns to commend the legislative acumen, diligence, and performance of Speaker Mojisola Meranda within her short time in office.

Meranda assumed office on January 13, 2025, following the removal of former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, who is reportedly poised for reinstatement.

During the plenary session, which began at about 2:20 p.m., Aro Moshood initiated the praise session, describing Meranda’s tenure as “positively life-transforming.”

Kehinde Joseph, representing Alimosho II, added, “You have made history with your resilience and humility. Your time may be short, but you have written your name in gold.” (Vanguard)
