‘I was shaking in tears’ — Kate Henshaw narrates COVID-19 test experience
Kate Henshaw, a Nollywood actress, says her test for COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by coronavirus, was not a funny experience.
The movie star took to her social media page on Sunday to reveal her anxiety and attendant pains while undergoing the test for the virus.
“I just had my COVID-19 test. It’s not funny. I was shaking in tears but I’ve done it. I can’t wait for my result,” she said in a video posted on her Instagram page.
Henshaw also revealed she took the test as a requirement for the commencement of the project she is working on.
“#COVID-19 test taken….. This is the new normal before any production starts. It’s very necessary, unfortunately… Mehnnnnnn its uncomfortable abeg… The lady was nice and gentle shaa let me not lie… Let this COVID-19 come and go mbok!!! My poor nostril,” she added in a mixture of English and Pidgin in a post accompanying the video.
The development comes a day after Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, fellow actress, revealed she had contracted the virus and is currently undergoing treatment.
“I know most of you have been wondering where I’ve been. Well, I contracted COVID-19. I have been ill, in Isolation and Now getting better. More on these details of this soon,” Omotola had said.
Nigeria has 48,770 confirmed cases of the novel disease and 974 deaths as of August 15, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). (The Cable)
