Arsenal midfielder Willian is angling for a summer return to Chelsea.

The Brazilian winger left Stamford Bridge after seven years on a free transfer last summer with Chelsea refusing to offer him the three-year deal he desperately wanted.

Instead the 32-year-old joined the Gunners but after less than a year in north London, in which he scored just one goal in 37 appearances, Willian now wants to leave.

Sky Sports says he is keen on returning to his former club to play under Thomas Tuchel.

It’s claimed that a number of clubs around Europe, as well as David Beckham’s MLS franchise Inter Miami, want to sign him but Chelsea would be his No 1 choice.

He is currently under contract with Arsenal until 2023, meaning the Blues would have to pay a transfer fee for a player they allowed to walk away for nothing 12 months ago.
