Lawan, Gbaja Mourn Sani Dangote
Senate President Ahmad Lawan and Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the House of Representatives, have mourned Sani Dangote, younger brother of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.
The younger Dangote died at a US hospital on Sunday.
In his condolence message, Lawan described the death of Sani Dangote as a great loss to Nigeria and Africa given the passion of the Dangote Group for the development of the country and continent.
The Senate President also commiserated with the Founder/Chairman of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, and the Government and people of Kano State over the incident.
“Alhaji Sani Dangote was a great entrepreneur who brought his business acumen to impact positively on the Nigerian economy and Africa in general, particularly in the areas of manufacturing, agriculture and oil services.”
“I share the grief of the entire Dangote family on the sad incident and pray that they find comfort and strength in their faith in Almighty Allah.
“My heart goes out to the immediate family and all the relations of the deceased.
“I pray Allah to comfort and grant them all the fortitude to bear the loss and to accept the soul of the departed into Aljannah Firdaus,” Lawan says.
On his part, the Speaker House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, said, said Sani Dangote’s demise is a painful loss, given his role in the Dangote Group.
He said Sani Dangote would be missed by many Nigerians, adding that his contributions to the development of Dangote Group and the private sector in Nigeria would remain indelible.
The Speaker described the deceased as a perfect gentleman who gave his best to the growth and development of the Dangote Group.
Gbajabiamila sent heartfelt condolences to the government and people of Kano State, the Dangote family, especially the president of the Dangote Group, Alh. Aliko Dangote and the entire management and staff of Dangote Group.
