My life now in danger, says Ruggedman

Nigerian rapper, Ruggedman, has disclosed that he has been receiving threat messages after the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, announced that rising artistes, Naira Marley, real name Afeez Fashola and Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael a.k.a Zlatan Ibile, will soon be arraigned.

Ruggedman made the situation worse when he said in a statement that despite the disrespect to his person, he has nothing against Naira Marley and hopes he will be discerning and utilise his position of influence appropriately.

Meanwhile, Ruggedman distanced himself from Naira Marley and Zlatan Ibile’s arrest and released a press statement that partly reads:

“My fellow Nigerians and the distinguished members of the press,

“I have read and heard all sorts of comments pertaining to the Naira Marley case and seen the misinformation making the rounds which is quite unfortunate to say the least.

“I do not know Naira Marley personally, the same way I do not know the over 300 Nigerians I have gotten justice for against police brutality. I do it because it is who I am.”
