#BBNaija: Payporte creative director Toyin Lawani weighs in on Cee-C’s cloth scandal
Nigerian celebrity stylist and Payporte creative director, Toyin Lawani has weighed on the controversy sparked by the cloth Cee-C used a scissors to cut, a cloth meant to be her outfit for this yesterday’s Big Brother Naija Saturday Night Party.
Toyin Lawani who denied making the cloth, however stated that the cloth wasn’t a fashion accessory and Cee-C was supposed to play her part as simple as ‘abc’. Toyin Lawani further called out Cee-C for disrespecting a whole tribe, and also not appreciating the effort of the Payporte team in making them look good on the show. She concluded by saying Cee-C will now get ugly clothes from her, or nothing at all.
Here’s what she wrote;
We reported before now, that Payporte, the official sponsor of the Big Brother Naija reality show, reacted to Cee-C’s rant about the cloth given to her for her Saturday Night party. Cee-C was caught on camera saying the cloth was ‘nonsense’. In her own words, she said ‘Me I am not wearing this nonsense ‘ and she went ahead to cut the cloth short with a scissors.
Payporte, who in their post disclosed that they were very displeased with the act, further disclosed that they take their time to style all housemates with respect to the theme of every Saturday party. The post read;
PayPorte is very dis-pleased by the comments made by @ceec_official about the outfit given to her. We take out time to style all housemates with respect to the theme of every Saturday party. We consider this a disrespect to our brand and consider this offensive.
However explaining why she tore the outfit, Cee-C told Khloe that she is Igbo not from Akwa Ibom, hence her decision to cut the cloth short.
“Payporte come and take your cloth! I hope you saw what I did to it.
“Yes I tore it. I am proudly Igbo not from Akwa Ibom,” Cee-c said.
