DJ Gosporella survives a ghastly accident in Lagos
DJ Gosporella, the in-house DJ of Beat FM who survived a ghastly motor accident in Lagos, has got nothing but thanks to as he shared a video from the accident scene.
According to him, the accident occurred at Baracks Bus Stop in Ojuelegba, after he swerved to avoid another car. Here’s what he wrote;
#GODISGOOD….
I like to thank God for saving our lives last night on the way home. I swerved to avoid a car that swerved to my lane at barracks bus stop Ojuelegba. A thousand tongues are not enough to praise you Lord. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU JEHOVAH. Please get this trucks off the way to avoid unnecessary carnage on our roads
DJ Gosporella made headlines in 2015, after he celebrated his 20th year in the Nigerian music industry. The popular gospel music disc jockey, also decried the lack of quality music promoters in the country during the celebration.
“I will say that because in Nigeria as a whole, would you say even in the secular music business, there’s something that you can actually call an industry. An industry for me is something that produces what pays you back; you produce either a product or a service that you sell that continues to bring back money to you. Our music business is not properly organised. I don’t even want to talk about piracy, not to talk of people not even knowing the basics of going into music in the first place.
“People don’t even know that going into the studio to record a track is not the beginning and the end of it, but you need the promoter to do stuff for you because he is the most important person in the business. It’s the business of the promoter to ensure that your music is heard in the right places. But professionally speaking, I think we don’t have an industry because people just churn out stuff.”
According to Gosporella, individual artistes need to focus on their areas of expertise rather than dabble into an arm of the entertainment industry that they are not good at.
