Harry and Meghan are said to be keen to start a family soon after their wedding, and now one of the bride-to-be’s friends has revealed a never known past secret of the royal bride-to-be and according to her, Meghan has so much love for children.
Lara Dewar is head of global communications with World Vision, and spent time with its former ambassador Meghan during a 2017 trip to India, during which the star naturally gravitated towards children.
Recalling a visit to a slum area to watch a girls’ self-defence class, she told Hello!: ‘By the end of the demonstration, Meghan had one on her lap, and was playing with another. She is just very approachable and warm.’
She added:
‘She was very happy to sit in the midst of the children and play and demonstrate affection towards them, it was really lovely to see.’
Describing the former actress as ‘smart, hard-working and disciplined’ she said that the Meghan is every bit as personable in the flesh as she appears in pictures.
Prince Harry is also known for his love of children, and previously revealed to ABC news that it was his lifelong dream to become a father.
‘I’ve longed for kids since I was very, very young,’ he said. ‘I’m waiting to find the right person. Someone who is willing to take on the job.’
During his engagement interview with Meghan, he said the couple would be keen to start a family ‘in the near future’.
Reports have indicated that Meghan is already preparing her future husband for fatherhood with a pre-wedding kick.
According to the New York Daily News, the bride-to-be has persuaded the royal to abandon his Malboro Lights and cut down on alcohol consumption ahead of trying for a baby.
‘One of the reasons she got him to quit smoking is because smoking affects sperm production,’ a source told the publication.
‘It’s no secret among friends that they want to start a family immediately.’
