Ray Hushpuppi, Malaysia-based Nigerian, says his driver earns as much a non-fraudulent commissioner and more than a local government chairman in the country.

The controversial personality made this known when he hosted Daddy Freeze, controversial on-air-personality, and other individuals in his luxurious Dubai home on the occasion of his birthday.

Freeze, who prompted the statement after Hushpuppi had shown off his Ferarri and derided Nigerians who claim he didn’t purchase the vehicle, taunted people who go about on social media dissing the Instagram personality instead of formally requesting to be employed by him.

“Hushpuppi’s driver is on N700,000 a month. People that are in the habit of dissing him are doing the job of a houseboy and getting paid N35,000. Yet, you go on Instablog to insult Huspuppi instead of begging him to employ your father as a driver,” Freeze said.

“The salary wey my driver dey collect, e almost near commissioner salary. If say dem no thief, I swear. E dey collect money pass local government chairman. E dey collect N700,000. My cleaner dey collect N250,000,” Hushpuppi echoed in pidgin English while enjoying a plate of fried rice and turkey.

The total monthly salary of a commissioner or special adviser in Nigeria is said to run into an estimated N520, 000, including domestic allowances for entertainment, personal assistant, vehicle maintenance, newspapers and, utilities.

Hushpuppi, who is better known as Aja 4 or Aja Puppi, came into limelight after making lots of controversial remarks about several Nigerian celebrities, a move which had caused his heated war of words with Davido, Afropop singer.

The self-acclaimed billionaire is well known for his luxurious lifestyle.

In 2017, Kcee, singer renowned for his song ‘Limpopo’, had called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the source of the Instagram personality’s wealth, stating that the Nigerian music space had had enough from him.

“We are musicians, not paupers. Who exactly do you think you are to open your mouth and insult a musician that sweats day and night in the studio? You have no credibility, no known source of income and yet you come on social media to attack hard working Nigerian musicians with traceable wealth,” Kcee had said.

“I will take it upon myself to raise a petition against you. We want to know your source of income since you now have the nerves to come on social media and call out a brand. We’ve had enough disrespect form you. Really, What do you do for a living, what is your talent, how did you make your money, what brand do you represent?”
